How to Find an NHS Dentist

Use the NHS Find a Dentist tool at https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-dentist. Enter your postcode or area, and the tool will show you NHS dentists currently accepting new patients.

What if you can't find an NHS dentist taking patients? Contact your local Integrated Care Board (ICB), which manages dental services in the area.

Waiting lists: Some individual surgeries keep their own waiting list if they are not currently accepting new NHS patients. Don't be surprised if you are told to wait.

NHS Dental Charges (At Time of Writing)

Charges are set nationally and are arranged in three bands based on treatment complexity:

Band 1: £27.90
Routine examination, X-rays, fluoride treatment, simple gum treatment and scaling
