Lakeside Country Park
Lakeside Country Park (Wide Lane, Eastleigh, SO50 5PE) is on the north-west edge of the town. The 22-acre park is managed by Eastleigh Borough Council and has a large lake at its centre. Activities include:
- Paddleboarding and canoeing (organised sessions, seasonal)
- Open-water swimming (organised by local clubs, seasonal)
- The Eastleigh Lakeside Steam Railway — a miniature steam railway operating at weekends and during school holidays

Itchen Valley Country Park
Itchen Valley Country Park (Allington Lane, West End, SO30 3HQ) is a 330-acre park managed by Hampshire County Council, approximately 10 minutes' drive east of Eastleigh. This is the larger of the two main country parks — better suited for longer walks.
Features include woodland trails, riverside paths along the River Itchen, a play area, and a visitor centre. The park is free to enter; there is a charge for parking. Dogs are welcome on leads in most areas. Phone: 023 8046 6091.

Stoke Park Wood
Stoke Park Wood is a 207-hectare Forestry Commission woodland north of Bishopstoke, bordering the village. It contains ancient woodland, chalk streams, and some locally rare flora. Popular with dog walkers and mountain bikers. Free access, no facilities. Accessible from multiple points off the Bishopstoke Road.

Royal Victoria Country Park (Netley)
Royal Victoria Country Park at Netley is approximately 15 minutes' drive south. It occupies the grounds of the former Royal Victoria Military Hospital on Southampton Water, with:

- The remains of the hospital chapel

River Itchen Walks
The River Itchen runs through the east of the borough. A footpath follows the river through Bishopstoke and connects to Stoke Park Wood and the wider Itchen Valley. Starting from Bishopstoke village, you can walk a circular route taking in the river, Stoke Park Wood, and the fields to the north — typically 3–5 miles depending on the route chosen.
